Where the Sun Never Sets

We go throttling
through space
on a tilt-a-whirl
stuck to the ground
like magnets
to a metal globe
it's a wonder
we don't all fly off
into inter-galactic orbit
careening past stars
get out of the way
yells the moon
you're in my light
it makes me dizzy
if I think about it too hard
the sun never sets
we go hurtling by
waving
goodnight

September

warm as summer
still
September
yet
quiet
and still
yet
I know what's coming
still
yet
in my mind
through water like cool silk
I slip
still there
and still
my heart

Infinity Tomorrow and the Horizon

As I lay looking
Black skyward
At infinite pin points of light
One races toward the horizon
and never arrives

insidious

not even the daffodils
on the hills
can assuage the ills
this spring

Acrimony

A bitter brew
Steeped
In resentment
